Ok I read it, here's my take. A LOT of his problems with masturbation were his shame over it. Shame manifests in a lot of ways, depression, anxiety, inability to concentrate, etc. If you just masturbated and hold in your head that what you did was this shame ridden thing that women find disgusting and makes you a loser, that's going to be your frame of mind when you are interacting with them. They'll pick up on that vibe and of course they won't be interested. When he stopped masturbating, no shame which equals more confidence. But masturbating didn't cause shame, it was his beliefs surrounding masturbating that caused the shame. It's all about moderation. Obviously if you sit down for 5 hours straight in a wankathon, you might want to reassess your priorities. But there's nothing wrong with every now and then. The way he frames it, it's all or nothing. Either you're at home masturbating all day pissing away productivity or you abstain completely. Neither of which is particularly good.

For me, masturbating is just a waste of time. If you want to kill two birds with one stone, watch porn but also jelqing while watching porn (not ejaculating of course). No semen wasted, and your little weapon is getting longer and bigger. Win-win solution.

No problem. The drop in testosterone isn't really a big deal. It's not even really a drop. It's just that when you abstain your testosterone levels increase, but it levels out again. The whole thing with the same brain activity as heroin and cocaine users. This goes for almost any addiction really. If you scanned the brain of a heavy video game addict I'd bet you'd see similar brain activity. All of this only really applies if A you feel an addiction to your behavior and B if it is causing significant distress in your life. Don't get caught up in worrying about it.

I have been able to solve the issue of porn and masturbation indirectly. It seemed mainly through dealing with issues around my weight that the desire to look at porn lessened, so it was obviously connected in some way.

Still I would like to use the overcoming porn addiction program again to help me reset my sex drive. A few times it's got to that point where it's started coming back but then i've reverted temporarily and fucked that up, and now it just doesn't seem to be happening again. When I used that program for a month or so in the past it went through that phase very quickly so I know it would help.
