On the opposite I could say I don't know why other people want this module at all but it wouldn't lead anywhere. I think I made it clear in my earlier posts (well, maybe not), I want to have a CHOICE if I masturbate or not and I don't want that be forbidden by a sub. I tell you another example from my life. I pay for my internet access at least 5 Euro more than I normally would. Why? Because they give me the CHOICE to leave whenever I want (nomally internet contracts are two years here). Saying this I am already a customer for over 5 years at this provider. Do I want to change providers? No. So why I am paying more than I could? Because I have a CHOICE this way and this is important enough for me to pay more for this option. Same with the anti-masturbation module.

That nofap stuff is highly personal. However, some people don't even want to try it before making up their minds. I too was thinking before that jerking off once in a while was okay. Until I tried nofap for more than 60days. Now I can't just go back at all and now I know how harmful it was for me. That was really self-destructive...The benefits outweigh by far the few minutes of delusional pleasure you would get by fapping. Just the fact that life became infinitely more pleasurable is priceless. I do more in less time and everything is fun. I have that stupid smile all the time and everything seems more and more enjoyable.

Well, first at all I find all the nofap stuff ridiculous because the urge for reproduction is a very natural thing. And if there isn't any woman there then there must be a replacement. I mean nobody would came up with the idea to stop drinking, eating or simply sleeping (by the way you can also feel better when you stop eating for some time but it would be not good to stop eating forever), which are also natural urges. But I tell you something, I tried it for some time, just not very long. Already after a short time (I think two weeks or so) the urge to masturabe stopped. But in opposite to some others I also lost my motivation to do anything, I also lost my interests and - worst thing - I was almost unable to get an erection at all. No more morning woods, maybe 30% erection when close to a hot woman, it really sucked. Then I started to fap again and - surprise - erections were back, motivation and interests were back, I was alive again.

There is an old speaking which says "Use it or loose it" which I really believe is true. If you don't use your muscles, you loose muscle mass, if you don't use your cognitive abilities than your neural pathways degenerate, if you don't use your dick....well...I think you get the picture. That's and what I already wrote in my earlier posts make me really afraid of this nofap module and I really don't wanna have this there. I hope in 3.3 Shannon will find a better solution than simply forbid masturbating for the user.

The thing is there will be always someone telling you why it does not work (yet), no matter if two weeks, moths or years. Anyway, I am fine if other people want this and are happy with, I just don't want people to tell me to do the same.

To each their own. I've tried nofap for a long time as well, and I can say I relate more with Mr. Anderson's experience.

I think a good balance for me is once or twice a week. I'd rather have some liquid circulation in my body.

Today I wanted to play the sub again. I took my phone but as soon I had the player on my screen I got disgusted and put my phone away. Later the same. Even later I started the sub but after about 30 seconds I felt so disgusted that I had to stop the sub. I don't know, seems like I am fighting the script or at least the anti-fap-thing to the extreme. Oh, and when it comes to fapping, I did it three times today, don't know when I fapped so often last time. I also realized that I fapped more often on this sub than with previous versions. Looks for me like some kind of act of defiance. I don't know how much of this is resistance to the goal of the sub and how much resistance to this module but the latter is definitely there.

One more thing I wanted to mention is that I probably had also resistance against the eating disorder module at the begin. Before even starting this sub I have had trouble eating anything and ate ridiculous low amounts. And about at the same time as well as in the first usage days I had sometimes moments where I felt like immediately vomiting. Good thing that it never really happened and it seems like it faded away later. I think the reason here is, is the fact that I was always a skinny guy and people told me all the time I have to eat more (without knowing how much I eat at all) and with time I got really tired of hearing this again and again.

I agree that masturbation or cessation of masturbation should be a personal, and informed choice. I personally don't like that Shannon has included it in the sub. I am sure that he means well and has research to back-up his reason for including it, but I don't see why it is necessary its like a one size fits all solution.

What I am more worried about is if resisting this module in the sub will affect the ability of our subconscious to abide by the rest of the instructions in the subliminal.

The good thing is that my reaction indicates that resistance would be probably overcome with this version because otherwise I wouldn't feel disgusted just by thinking about running this sub again. Anyway, just hope there will be a better solution with the next version so I am (almost) sure I will reach my goals then.
