I looked up what hedonistic means and it seems pretty obvious to me you missed the whole point of Blackdragons book or didn't read much of it which you even admitted.

I knew it, I knew my viewpoint will not play well with you guys. But still I'll try to explain what I mean, for whatever it's worth. You see, I'm a cynic. I'm also cynical, but here I mean "cynic" in particular. Read about people like Diogenes of Sinope to learn more. If you done so you'd learn cynics have different understanding of happiness typical people (among them Blackdragon) does. Fucking my way through like doesn't resonate with me. That's why I respect his book very much, but it has some very serious flaws with me - and it's obvious when we're talking apples and oranges. That being said I don't want to be cynic, that way of thinking brought me low all my life and I want to grow out of it (by using Shannon's subs as well as other means) but it also shaped me and gave me insights that will probably stay with all my life, and for good. So in short, don't be surprised Blackdragon's hedonism, or should I say "commercial happiness" based on money and sex doesn't resonate with me. And yes, I know he claims there is more to it, but those two sections is what he focuses on and I can't help but judge it in basis of it. I may all change with time and it will be very interesting case study if I will. For now though, let me hate "The Unchained Man" while reading it slowly but passionately.

"Happy endings may get a bad rap, but they do happen. And when they do, they're just as true as the unhappy ones." - Hank Moody ___________ No one's telling you to change, just look at it through a different lens. Instead of seeing it as "hedonism" or "happy vs. cynicism" etc, you could see it as someone who is achieving what he wants. Who are you to judge how? Also, there seems to be this belief in people (myself included, but I'm working on it) that nothing is "real" unless it's unpleasant, miserable, negative, or "realistic" (a word that sums up all three lol). The problem is, that's victimization. CHOOSING to create a life you want WILL be "fake". Why? Because it's new, hasn't been done before. In order to say "that's the REAL thing", you have to have a previous example of the REAL thing to go off of, so, of course, the thing that is being compared as "real" is, in reality, a forgery. Nothing real can ever be defined because it's new to the world. So of course it's going to freak some people out who want "genuineness" because really they just want the security of dealing with something they've dealt with before. #unique #imspecial #icantrustthiscauseitsfamiliarasdjhnsdkjhfgdjkhngf lol

This is an awesome analysis. I also reject hedonism and think Aristotle's definition of happiness is a lot better. Aristotle uses the term "Eudaimonism", which is the highest good in human life (and is not equal to pleasure). Eudaimonism is a very broad definition of happiness. For example: Humans need money, but money is not sufficient for Eudaimonism. Humans need a social circle with good friends. Aristotle says that a human that can life on itself, that is totally outside society, is either a god or a beast. I agree. No one can stay in his room playing computer games, watching porn, be closed of society for weeks and still be happy. The most important thing in life to reach eudaimonism are virtue. Virtues are excellences of character. Exmples are things like courage, justice, charity, etc. Wicked people for example, might reach some happiness by stealing, betraying, lying, but they probably will never reach the lasting eudaimonia. Just and honest people might neither, because disasters can happen and life is never fully in our own hands. But the virtues are the best bet for reaching Eudaimonia. For more information read the Aristotle paragraph in this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eudaimonia The great thing about this is that it can both function as a NORMATIVE (and not just descriptive) foundation of the alpha male project, and also give justification to the many aspects of life (instead of just pursuing money OR pleasure).
Great discussion . I shall get into it.

I've done reading Alpha 2.0 & Sigma Shock. The core concept itself is similar but explained differently with rich perspective of the author.
Whose the best? I do not care. The idea itself resonates with me. Also I've watched Cloud Atlas, a bit of tricky film with deep meaning that one decision impact the whole life, individually or not. Astounding as it is, End Game! Here I come!! PS: I feel so excited that I am slowly uncovering the truth. Looks like I've drank the red pill unknowingly
I personally don't see any issue of stating that in fact regular sex with high quality girls and having money contributes to your happiness. It definately does, and i'm not saying that you should rely on that to be happy but of course it contributes.
I enjoy being around girls, enjoy sex.. so I definately feel better having it regularly than not.. and as for money i'm not the kind of person who wants it to buy fancy cars and stuff to show off.. I want it for the experiences it can bring, to be able to go places I want to and do things I want without having lack of money hold me back as it currently does. His book does go deeper than that into the life mission and stuff, so i'd understand if he was like "sex and money is all that matters" but he does go deeper into your own rules and standards, the life mission etc.. Quote:I have added some of my reading list. Cool, i'm aware of the other books. Sigma Shock looks interesting, i'll get it at some stage. -Ben
I am getting all worked up to analyze my personality.
1. Temperament: Choleric (70%) and Sanguine (30%) Blend I am a combination of the 2 most extroverted personality thus making me automatically aggressive whenever in conversation. One of the bad things (after learning deeply about temperaments) I am too focused on being dominant. This holds true because whenever I am in social situations or any situations I would force myself to become dominant. Domineering I would say, and whenever I can't be dominant I got depressed (unsatisfied) or challenge the most dominant person to take his throne. Sometimes I am ashamed of myself whenever I received a critique from my colleague (of course the intelligent one, I don't give a damn about stupidity and time wasting comments). I do not like waiting thus making me do the action. I don't give a damn about attention at all (looks like counter productive while being a domineering person), but I like being felt as the dominant person. I love to voiced out my opinion that are based from science, facts or foundations that are proven; although people usually get the feeling of offensive from my words. I might be look emotionally detach, but I just don't like to be controlled by emotions. Through mastery and improvement from countless of sources that I have learn I become a master of my emotion and thoughts. Negative feelings and thoughts are still there, but I have learn to ignore it or sometimes see it as a prediction in the future. Although I am choleric I dislike in being mad, because I have experienced that whenever I make a decision while being controlled by emotions usually (almost always) the results will be shit. There are things that are contradict with choleric and sanguine traits that I have, but majority are accurate. NOTE: The temperament test I took are from a legit sources, because I took psychology course in my University. 2. MBTI: Extraverted iNtuitive Thinking Perceiving (ENTP) I see that some people here want to become an ENTP. There are many sources of ENTP definition, but this is what it would be like being an ENTP. I am extraverted. Yes, to the point joining multiple clubs, having too many social circles and well-known in my University. Note that I am a new student. My friends look at me that I have good people skills base from the fact of I have many connections. Here what is, I do have many connections but they are all just that. I dunno why, but majority of people here might drinking a sip of stupidity every day. They are all adults by body (yeah, especially the girls) but their minds aren't improving. They can't see up ahead or plan or even describe what their life want to be. ENTP is visionary. While I can plan ahead and achieve it if there is almost to no people that I can share (visions, concepts, ideas) with I will get stressed. Furthermore I hate being rule! I do NOT follow the rule. This makes me labeled as rebellious in my colleague, and they keep on repeating the same cassette such as "follow the rule", "you can't that is outrageous", etc. It is like a living torture for me. Wait, why does this become whiny post? Get back! Now. The base line of ENTP is similar to choleric such as goal oriented, free thinker, hunger for knowledge to the moment when s/he having a feeling of not enough or something missing. NOTE: MBTI test that I took is also a direct source from my University. 3. Astrological Personalty I'll be thanking you again and again Maniac360 for analyzing my personality and very detail also First of all my zodiac is scorpio lol It is true that I am materialistic and hedonistic. I don't care about emotions or anything if it will not give me benefits (win-win). About being a leader also is true. Majority of time I was chosen and appointed to lead or being the one who holds the highest authority. I am not a really a skillful person. In 0 to 10 scale I would say my general skills are 5 - 7. So yeah, I am a jack-of-all-trades type of person. Shown in my too much interest in skills and how enthused I am to learn new set of skills. I love challenge, especially being challenged in intelligent arguments.
That is all I can pick or I am lazy enough to continue. Regardless I am heavily interested in astrological personality. Thanks again maniac PS: My mind keeps on making a weird connotation of maniac lol UPDATED**** 4. Big Five Traits: SCOEI -generalized traits Characteristics: not afraid of doing the wrong thing, speaks up regardless of consequences, not filled with doubt, more dominant than submissive, not afraid to draw attention to self, self confident, does not back down when threatened, decisive, feels you have to be tough on people to get things done, not easily hurt, worry free, not easily intimidated, not concerned with failure when trying something new, aggressive, fearless, controlling, domineering, ambivalent about the suffering of strangers, not easily discouraged, out for own personal gain, comfortable in unfamiliar situations, unconcerned with the misfortunes of strangers, likes giving speeches, not easily moved to tears, manipulative, unapologetic, knows where life is going, narcissistic, exacting in their work, does not second guess self, untouched by other people's feelings, the first to act, level emotions, never at a loss for words, opinionated, demanding, goes after what they want, believes in a logical answer for everything, not very religious, show off, calm in crisis.
Aaah... I got a good cracked. Thanks Mateunio
Still lol'd with the Hitlerious thing ahahahaha Day 18 Stage 2 AM v6 I'd done my research for the time being. Took 5 days of time wasting and successfully degrading my physique. Yeah fat, fuck you! On topic. I've done taking pointing out what is the type of male I want to be. Shed some light it is and might be to you "alpha wannabes" that read ma' thread. I also planned out for 2 years of my lifetime to handle women's are. Caleb took 18 months, and I am sure I will be shorter for I am using subliminals. Regardless taking a realistic approach would be better. Ok. Here is my "male" type. Whatever you call it, this is how a male should be. NOTE: I write it myself *egoboost Quote:A man who has the highest form of self-mastery that seek and live the life of complete freedom thus making him enjoying his life to the fullest with happiness and independence as his number one priority. Ahh... For the sub it is a bit tricky to know the results. Slipstream and Naturalizer do their parts after all. Tho this is some sticking point: I am doing out things out of comfort zone, apprehending more in social life and general attraction. Do notice that my quality of post is degrading (according to my standards). Sigh. I am mumbling, time to dozed off.

Don't worry about quality of posts, you write it for yourself more than for us. The most important thing is to be honest I think and if your thoughts are all over the place let your posts be as well.
