As I've been going on with the DSMI series, I too have noticed periods of feeling vulnerable. When I analyzed it, it seemed 2 things were happening:
1) my muscles felt more relaxed;
2) my head was less cluttered with rigid ideas.
In other words, my muscle tension and rigid ideas were no long shields against the world or defenses against the world. Hence the feeling of vulnerability. It was like I was defenseless. However I think what was really happening was an acceptance and comfort with reality. It was simply an illusion of vulnerability.
