I agree that's why I hate apple products now. But when my original ipod stopped working (back then there wasn't this issue with itunes) I got a new one and didn't know of this stupidity they forced on you.
It's mainly for people who already have an ipod and hate itunes.
Wait so is there a problem with using subs on an ipod? I have always used itunes and an ipod for my sub use.
The problem isn't with the iPod itself, it's with the software used to get MP3s onto it, particularly if it thinks it's smart enough to do extra compression for you or in the case of Ben delete all your songs because it turns on "sync only to this computer" by default.
