Reading that jogged my memory about a similar incident that happened to me.
I left the gym and saw a child standing in the parking lot. He was old enough to walk, my guess he was 30 inches tall/76.2 centimeters. His Dad was occupied with putting his baby sibling into the stroller. I felt this urge to run and carry him to safety if I saw a car go towards him. Fortunately, his Dad called him back to safety.
