It's a very mind-expanding experience, and countless great artists, thinkers, creators, etc, hold great testament to their use of LSD in their lives. Just to name a couple, Steve Jobs, and Francis Crick (was on LSD when he deduced the double-helix structure of DNA).
I have never done psychedelics, and I am pretty sure I never will. I get your point, but I also value the fact that I will never run the risk of having flashbacks, and I don't care to be doing, or dabbling, in mind altering substances that are illegal. Honestly, my issue is not having enough good ideas; I have a rate of ideas coming in to being executed of several dozen to one, at least. My problem is that these ideas must be tested and utilized in specific ways, which requires a specific framework which inevitably slows me down. I have so many ideas that it takes me almost a minute to scroll down to the bottom of my notepad app on my phone to add more when I open it. I've found other ways of expanding my mind.
