I am also thinking that we consciously are drawn to subs and choosing one and buying it and playing, but on some level our subconscious must have made that choice. Is our subconscious choosing change or is it stricktly conscious or is there some other layer of the mind making that choice? In short where does the desire for subs come from?-
Resistance must be dealt with by understanding it, consciously acting to thwart it, mastering it through knowledge, understanding, wisdom and experience, and using methods that can alleviate and neutralize it.
The subconscious mind is easily dominated by the conscious mind. Think of a symphony being drowned out by an air horn. The air horn in this case is the much simpler and louder conscious mind. But the symphony (subconscious) can play forever, while the air horn will eventually run out of air.
When the conscious is distracted, and when it is asleep, the subconscious asserts itself. But the subconscious is not good at decision making, as far as I can see. It's good at running previously established programming. Whatever that program says, it does. Even if it is patently illogical, ridiculous, or even blatantly self destructive.
Where does the desire to use subs cone from? Likely both sides of the fence. But as to which wants more, I would say my money is on the conscious mind. Unless of course you're dealing with resistance trying to get you to stop using Sub A for Sub B.
