I'm sure you know what samples are and sample rate etc. I'm imagining that there comes a point where if it is fast enough, the words would be squeezed into fewer samples, and then eventually the phrases would become incoherent, because they are "blocky". What I mean is like pretend you squeeze a digital image smaller and smaller, it will eventually become proportionally incomprehensible if you zoom in on the image to view it (like the subconscious would to "hear" the sped-up phrases in subs), because pixels can only be so small. Do you know what I mean by all this?
The subs are tested with predictive models beforehand. So, if that was true, the testing would make it obvious that it's too much data, too fast to process accurately and would result in poor results. I wouldn't worry about such a thing in this case.
To answer the first quote: I have developed a way to prevent that from happening, no matter how many words I put in the script. The methods I use ensure that the compression rate is always within a specific range which is both maximal and optimal. Beyond that I can't say how I do it, but rest assured. You will never have to worry about that.
Which brings me to the answer to the second quote. Not only do I use predictive models, I do self testing and Tier 2 and 3 testing, so I see first hand whether it works and how well.
But yes, the predictive models allow me to sift through a huge amount of options before ever building a script and have a very, very high confidence in being right.
