As far as only left ear, I didn't actual do tests to see if it was just my left ear but as far as hearing it better, it sounded like left ear only so couldn't say. Also I don't hear anyone talking anymore. Maybe if I'm listening to it for a couple of hours my ears pick up on the talking. Not sure. I'll report back if I ever hear it again.
