Well what they don't tell you in LoA books, can be found in quantum mechanics laws, as well as the study of Chemistry, Physics, and other sciences. LoA can't work without the other laws.
A more straightforward way to say it is, there's no such thing as something for nothing. But I think the best message is that what you give back, does not have to be a burden. The journey can give even more meaning and satisfaction to life than the end result. If you were to find a means of making money (does not necessarily have to be a job, or something you THINK of as a job), that gives you joy and satisfaction...Then you are half way there.
At least that's what I've gotten out of all my reading.
