I will go down through on each point I see that needs comment.
The forum was started in 2010, and I have been answering posts on the forum for 15 years now. How time flies.
During that time, my research, experiments, progress and scripting techniques have evolved and improved. So has my knowledge and understanding. Let me put a finer point on some of what I stated previously.
Your subconscious is commonly viewed as "something else", or "it", when really what it is is a conglomeration of past versions of you and also those parts of the awareness that have never been "consciously" aware. It is all you. The issue is figuring out how to get it to work with and cooperate with the subliminals. That has largely been figured out since I wrote that. It is still your responsibility, but I have found much better ways to gain cooperation from your subconscious parts.
This is what I previously believed to be the case. Now I understand that the truth is more complex and nuanced than this. The subconscious exists in layers and parts within those layers. Some have different levels of awareness, different modes of communication, different types of awareness and different levels of balance between logic and emotion. Some will believe whatever you tell them and start acting on it as true, which tends to make it true; and some will not. Those parts that will not are usually the ones that are responding in ways that are not necessarily cooperative.
The key is not necessarily of the script is accepted as being true by all layers and parts of your subconscious; it is also to a large degree whether they are willing to cooperate based on their perceptions, beliefs, understandings, motives and goals, regardless of their acceptance of the script or not.
The parts that accept the script as true will strongly tend to act as if it is true, and thus tend to bring it into existence by the resulting actions and the choices that result from belief that the script is true.
The parts that don't necessarily agree that it is true will need to be persuaded to agree to execute regardless of anything they may want to do otherwise, regardless of how much they want to do that other thing. I learned a long time ago that trying to force execution isn't the way to do it. You need to use persuasion.
It's both, but not in an obvious manner. The conscious mind cannot sense the subconscious (subliminal) script. It only knows what the subconscious is trying to do. In some cases, it will notice a shift in what is happening and may attempt to shut it down if the change is what it considers "undesirable" for whatever reason. However, I have been able to get past that issue since 5.75G.
Only with very old scripts, 5.5G and earlier for the most part. Later generations progressively solved this issue more and more.
Given the technology generation in which LTU was last made, that is a very good choice.
This would seem relatively self evident. If (as an example) someone tells you they are going to kill you in a joking manner, there is very little perceived threat, and thus very little emotional charge and very little impact: you don't take it seriously.
If they say it in a threatening manner while giving you a deadly serious look, then you're going to have higher emotional charge because now they are sub-communicating the same thing in ways that make it more believable. Now it is taken as more believable, and you start to have different emotional responses to it, including fear. More emotional impact.
If that same person took you to ground and put a sharp knife to your throat while threateningly staring into your eyes and telling you in a murderous voice that they were going to cut your head off, then it's even more believable, has even more emotional effect, generates more belief that they are sincerely threatening your life and causes even more emotional response, including fear and possibly trauma. More impact still.
The reasons for your resistance are emotional (fear) and originate from an irrational part of you. Responding with logic is useless. Those parts don't understand logic at all. This is why smokers can logically know that smoking will kill them, and yet do it anyway, even while they are on oxygen and have advanced emphysema.
I find that I get the best results when I consider my subconscious a part of me that I acknowledge, and I refer to the whole as "we/us", or "you", depending on specifics. For example, if I have a part of me that is resisting out of fear, I might say, "I know you're afraid, and I understand why, but we need to achieve this goal regardless, and that's what we're going to do." That doesn't guarantee success, but it makes that part of you feel heard and understood and not marginalized or ignored, as calling that part of you "it" can do. It does produce better results.
It may not come to you as a surprise that being over analytical is usually an insecurity response to not having sufficient understanding to feel safe.
Hi @Shannon, thank you so much for taking the time to write detailed responses, which is one of the reasons why I try to research first if you have already answered my questions in older posts because I've seen you answer some of the same things over and over again.
And I know you're busy with your work and don't want to waste your valuable time.
You're the only product creator I have ever seen who answers his customers directly.
Other copywriters/marketers/content creators I've seen do a question and answer for perhaps one customer or two per week.
But you do it as best as you can with detail and as soon as you can.
I appreciate your help and the subs you've created. OFV2 was my first and favorite.
I've been applying what you said about addressing one's subconscious as a whole with "we/us" and "you" in some cases, and I feel more integrated.
I will purchase OGFS after my LTUV6 run.
I try to do what I can. I believe that an educated customer is a good customer. There will doubtless come a day when I have too many different businesses and too much on my plate to personally answer questions, but I will keep doing this as long as I can. 15 years and counting on here, and for 7 years before that on eBay.
Very pleased that my programs are useful and helpful for you. Thank you for your patronage.
