but I get it that this is very polarizing topic that has the potential to steer away the focus of what this forum is about.

Know that I envy the current living conditions you have in Florida.

I guess that we take for granted our freedoms until they are taken away...

You didn't have to remove the whole thing.  But not only is it a polarizing subject, I cannot see which side is correct; there is too much deceptive reporting and too many lies being perpetuated regarding that whole subject.  So on top of not wanting to have a hot button topic on the forum, I also don't want to be spreading misinformation on the forum, and right now I cannot tell what the truth actually is.

And I doubt you envy the living conditions we have.  I think you envy what we had before everyone started coming here to enjoy what we have policy-wise, and started overcrowding the place and driving like maniacs.  On top of that, it is hot as heck here most days, and we are having flash floods as a result of that.

It used to be easy for me to go to a restaurant for dinner and have no trouble getting seated within 0 to 15 minutes, in the unusual case that there was a wait in the first place.  Now, we have to drive around the city, and sometimes to other cities, to find a table available if we want to eat out.  Even on days you wouldn't expect it to be crowded, we have to frequently wait between 20 and 60+ minutes for a table in the restaurants we used to enjoy going to.  It is absolutely nuts.  Everything is overcrowded now.  The mall, the beaches, the parks, the roads... it's worse than when all the snowbirds come down during the winter, and they would normally have gone back by now.  I don't have a problem with snowbirds, but they do tend to make the population swell noticeably during the winter, and that changes the living experience here because the roads and stores are more crowded.  But this is just nuts.  And as far as I can tell, it's because other states have ridiculous policies for the whole pandemic situation.  Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what it looks like to me.

Then again, maybe your situation is bad enough that you would be happier here anyway.  I don't know.

In the end, I can't wait for this whole situation to go away.
