Yay. Good on ya mate! Besides subs, you now have a great sound system for everything else if you want to.
I was thinking the same- I spent the equivalent of over $800 U.S. dollars on subs and I was often playing them with ten dollar speakers. I am sure I lost at least half of the effectivity for that, over 3 months, that was incredibly stupid. I was also ready to buy really good speakers now but reality caught up with me and I could not afford it, so I had to compromise. I am still using cheap speakers but better ones and guaranteed to reach 20Khz. They will probably become my computer speakers when I buy good ones down the line.
Now the problem is the player- VLC for iOS, which I used to highly recommend to everyone, including you if I recall correctly, started acting up. I am testing Vox right now, looks good once you weed through all the needless options, I will let you know. What player are you using? You are using a Mac however, different story.
Thanks mate! I spent 4 hours yesterday listening to music non-stop!! I'm not sure if it is a result of my first cycle of UMS or simply because the music sounds so incredible lol but whatever it is it is raising my vibration to another level! We are in full lockdown here in Melbourne so I'm spending my time training and now I'm going to listen to music 24/7!!
I think if you are using speakers that are def reaching 20khz then you are sweet. I tried searching the web for hours to figure out if my MacBook Pro internal speakers were 20khz but Apple just don't give that information to anyone! I find that a little ridiculous tbh but I suppose laptops aren't designed to be sound systems hahaha. I just didn't want to risk playing months of Subs and potentially not receiving the full benefit hence the investment in these speakers.
Tomorrow is the day that I will start my second cycle of UMS and I'll be using the new speaker set up. I'll have to play around with the volume because you can go next level high with these speakers. I can tolerate more volume during the day because I can potently hear the 'ringing' from the Ultrasonic. If I'm going to do my cycle at night whilst sleeping then I will probably have to lower the volume somewhat to reduce the 'ringing' to what's comfortable. I've done some tests using the Masked sub and all the volume ranges i've tested are audible with the Masked Sub which means that I should be able to play Ultrasonic at any volume that is comfortable.
What kind of problem are you having with VLC mate? I'm assuming you are using your iPhone?? If so what model of iPhone? Did you know that you can play the .Flac Subs using the 'Files' app on the iPhone. It plays them perfectly. The only issue using 'Files' app is that you can't create a playlist so you'll need manually play the Sub again once it finishes the first loop. Hopefully Vox works well for you.
I'm using VLC but on my MacBook Pro and it works pretty well playing all files.
I'll keep you posted on how I'm feeling next week after second cycle of UMS. At the moment I feel amazing!! Thankyou universe! Thankyou IML! I'm not sure exactly what to attribute it all too - I believe its a combination of many things I've been doing the last 2 months. I'm grateful for it all!
Cheers,
Ali
My problem is exactly playing more loops. LTU6 is 7 loops of over one hour each, playing manually is impossible. Most players do not allow playlists where the same track is repeated more than once. The latest VLC for iOS does but sometimes stops after the first loop, and sometimes it does not, I have not figured out what the pattern is. Another problem is that since all the tracks have the same name and there is no “queue” view, you cannot see how far into the playlist you are.
A workaround for both problems is to duplicate the file 7 times and rename them, 2 to 4GB of disk space down the drain, not the end of the world but it just seems stupid that there is no other way.
I’ll report how Vox works out.
