PUA stuff is predominantly a business, and a pretty damn effective - and relatively effortless - way to make money without much overhead. It mostly consists of: 1. Well-intentioned morons (I'd say roughly 25%), 2. People who actually make some interesting points or are actually presenting relevant, useful information (I'd say, dunno, 1%? 2%? Total outliers. The Rational Male guy comes to mind - he's actually presenting solid behavioral research, it's just that it's dressed in the PUA-lingo), 3. Narcissists who prey on human frailty (the rest).
You can usually tell which is which by what kind of copy they use to sell their products.
Say what you want about it. Before PUA I was a virgin.
