Got back to my roots in sales today and got an easy one.
I'm telling myself it's easy BUT, if I had not been in the right energy/headspace, would the guy even had wanted to deal with me? I say no.
In the same way, I'm not trying to overcomplicate things. Easy sales are just as valid as difficult ones.
ION, interesting thing happened with a customer. Basically one of the guys I know offered him a deal but when I went to the guys house, he offered me the sale. Long story short, customer made it a condition of the sale for my co-worker that, if he wanted the sale, he had to split the commission with me. How cool is that?
Predictably, co-worker agreed but is now trying to say he did all this work and maybe deserves more. I never got back to him on it and he's gone for the weekend.
I'll wait to talk to the customer to hear his side of things, if it was a difficult sale like my co-worker claims, I'm fine with taking a bit less than half.
