The general pattern among the successful is that they work hard during the day and socialise hard in the evening. Striking that balance is key. They both fuel each other. Without working towards something, socialising becomes meaningless and without connecting with other people, work loses it's meaning.

Another way of putting it - "Work hard, Play hard." and the key is balance!

I've been reminded from time to time... "Don't eat where you poop." translation "Don't have sex at work." You'll find that mixing both, having sex at work achieves both goals. From my experience, as exciting as it is to almost get caught... there is a lot of drama when you have sex with a coworker.

Of course on the road towards financial wealth, I'll spend more time at work than socializing but that's fine. 14-18 hours of work per day for grest success is worth it. But of course there will be days where I dont work so I can better focus on socializing. I think everything will work out.

The reason why I said "socialise hard" instead of "play hard" is because it's important to do so with other people. Playing hard can encompass a broader range of activities which don't necessarily include connecting with others in a meaningful way.

Just out of curiousity, in which field are you looking to work 14-18 hours a day?
