DMSI Notables (no mones today):
- Girl working the drive thru seemed very awestruck
- Just as I parked at a convenience store, a girl came out walking towards the car 2 parking spots over from me. I noticed her because she was quite attractive to me. When I got out of my car, the radio in the other car was cranked. "Promiscuous Girl" was playing. The girl then shook her butt in a little dance. Took me by surprise. I shoulda said "nice moves" or something but instead I just went inside. :/
EDIT: Just finished watching "Vanilla Sky"
It's crazy, whenever I watch movies like it ( "A Beautiful Mind" is another one) I begin to think I'm crazy or schizo (especially with regards to that incident at the convenience store today. Too perfect and synergistic, no?).
Ah the joys of using subs.![Tongue Tongue](https://subliminal-talk.com/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
EDIT 2: Reading more of "Influence". It's talking about hazing rituals/initiations. Apparently all efforts to stop them or change them into things less dangerous have been violently resisted. And, apparently, people who are in charge of them were tested psychologically and found to be healthier than the average student.
The idea put forth by the author on the purpose of these rituals is this: "Persons who go through a great deal of of trouble or pain to attain something tend to value it more highly than persons who attain the same thing with a minimum of effort"
