Google speak works but you have to be clear and take your time. You also have to say things like "period" or "comma" or "new paragraph" which sometimes doesn't work (as in, it actually types that out instead of putting a period, comma or new paragraph).
My phone has it as a microphone icon in the top right of the keyboard when I begin typing.
Hi Sarge. Thanks for the heads up. I don't see the icon on my keyboard, but will take a look tomorrow morning.
If you have an android phone, the default keyboard usually has a button on the bottom row, second furthest to the left, which you can press and hold. it will give you a microphone symbol (what you're looking for), a note symbol (files), a happy face (emojis), a keyboard symbol (keyboard) and a gear symbol (settings). Press on the microphone and it will open VoiceType.
