There are multiple studies that show women are more attracted to "bad boys" and even narcissists than they are "nice guys", most recent one I looked over:

But with all that said it's hard to say what effect the healing is having,I don't think DMSI should be making us narcissists and assholes but some of those traits such as not giving a fuck, high confidence, assertiveness, etc are all good things. Maybe DMSI's healing is eliminating those traits that originate from a negative source (emotional pain) and once that's gone they'll come back from a good source (high self esteem).
