Anger is often the child of frustration, but not always. It results usually from conflict or restriction that in some way offends. If you're expressing anger while disconnecting from negative beliefs it is usually anger that has lain dormant, deep within you, and has been buried. That anger being buried is the core of some forms of depression, and by expressing it, you are "lancing the boil", so to speak. Disgorge it and get rid of it. Figure out what triggered it, and deal with it.
