Last night, I changed how I determined # of loops. I got out the 'ole amethyst pendulum.

I thought I was the only "weirdo" trying to dowse this

LOL... Even I have a dowsing pendulum, but I didn't even think of consulting it.

I tried some dowsing and learnt it from someone 4-5 years ago, but for whatever reasons I didn't continue with it. Maybe I should revisit it.
