although it's likely a combination of both, since we're still in "testing phase"
Would the analogy that you'd liken available energy to a pat of butter and pieces of toast be accurate (for what your're saying you experienced)? We only have 1 pat of butter, and the more pieces of toast there are the thinner the spread gets? 2 pieces of toast - lotsa butter per slice, 30 pieces of toast - little to no butter?
I believe that analogy would be accurate. Judging from what Shannon has said about energy sourcing having its safe and effective limits as to how much energy we can actually channel.... It would go to reason that the output of such energy would be limited in the same way as the input is.
The cows can only make milk at a rate of X. Any faster than that, and the cow would be overmilked. so the rate at which we replenish our butter stash is limited by how much milk the cow can give.
We can have 20 pieces of toast, and choose to slab more butter on the more attractive toast, and less butter on the less attractive toast. But we can't use more butter than the cow gave us until that supply is replenished.
If all the women that were present at the convention individually took the amount of butter they wanted, the supply would be gone after the 5th or 10th woman, leaving none for woman # 11 through 1000.
This is all theory though, and based on my experience over the weekend.
