2. Since DMSI draws most of it's energy from FOOD, fasting seems like a pretty good way to derail it. "Powered by the sun" is an addition to help, and I'm not expecting it to be anywhere near the primary energy sourcing.
In other words... fasting conflicts with DMSI. Which is why you ghosted, most likely. The machine needs to be plugged in to turn on.
What about intermittent fasting for fitness (or other) purposes? Like eating from 2pm-8pm and fasting from 8pm-2pm the next day? In other words having a 6 hour (or however long) eating window everyday? Rather than the normal eat breakfast as soon as you wake, then dinner, maybe a late snack, etc.?
If DMSI requires energy, and it can only get, say, 25% to 33% of the necessary energy from non physical sources, then it must draw its remaining energy from physical sources - i.e., food.
If you deny it food, then it cannot work.
As to the specifics of fasting this way or for that long... I don't know.
I do know that all forms of engine need fuel to run. Deny it energy, and it does not run. So if you want to fast while using DMSI, don't be surprised if you get no results, or significantly degraded results for your efforts.
