You need to be able to consciously hear the AM6 track if it's masked. If it's silent, it must be properly calibrated so you can still hear it despite other audio playing from the same source.
That sounds like a good idea for your job, but some of the younger employees may be able to hear the ultrasonic track. I know I can hear it and I'm 21. If the speakers have a really high frequency range like up to 25khz or so, it's more "silent" than having speakers just at 20khz. You also need to make sure the volume won't be too loud. And just so you know, it might affect those who are in hearing range of it besides you. But hey, you gotta get those hours.
