Well it doesn't come off as honesty but rudeness especially since it's his first post so maybe that should be a wake up call for you.
I know a lot people who doesn't have the ability to research stuff as me but I also know they have things in their personality that I would hardly be able to do, like focusing on something for a long time, I often get bored and I need my mind doing new stuff all the time. So I know that we have different skill.
This is just an example though. e
