It aint that simple, imagine you can only eat one icecream a day, masked = banana, ultrasonic = chocklad, hybrid = banana+chocklad flavour.
So hybrid is like eating the one ice cream you can handle a day, but has the flavour and effect of both masked and ultrasonic.

My take is that what matters to optimal usage is not necessarily how much input the mind gets, but how much it gets in resting time to process the input.
This would explain how infinite number of repetitions can be put into subliminals and yet as long as it's confined to a few hours a day the mind can still process it. Based on how much more inputs successive generations of subliminals have gotten as Shannon said, one would think the optimal input has been reduced from hours to seconds per day. Yet it appears it is not so. I think the same applies to hybrid tracks.
Just speculation.
