I bought a copy of AOSI on opening day to use with AM. I used it according to directions, not within 4 hours of using another 5g sub and 2 loops.
That night I experienced the worst resistance I can remember. Meltdown. I wrote to the shop requesting either refund or store credit but both were not accepted. I then thought I would give it to someone I know well.
I believe that the first mention of it not being available for refund as it is experimental was made on DMSI 2.1 because I noticed it to be different. I understand that I would not be technically elligable under normal cirumstances due to refund policy.
If I gave this to someone I know well after using for 2 loops would this trigger AP code?
It would not be elligible for a refund regardless because it was not used according to the directions.
Giving it away and erasing all of the copies you had, will not trigger it. But, you now have to have them give it back (and delete all copies), or re-purchase it, to use it.
Quote:The other thing is I have all the subs for my family on my hard drive in a sub folder. I am like the keeper of records and sub advisor and all purchases are made through my account. I know how many copies and whos copies they are. For example I have 4 copies of E2 and they are for my sons and my mother and I but if my partner was ever to run it I would need to buy another copy.
Is this scenario acceptable or should I find another way to do things?
Regards.
If anyone uses a copy of a sub, directly uses and not incidentally is exposed to, that they did not purchase or otherwise legally own, they are breaking copyright law as far as I know.
But you all choosing to store your legal copies on a single computer is not illegal in the slightest.
All I'm asking is that you follow your local copyright laws.
