I've used Kingston before and they've never failed me, and I'm literally using my Sandisk one right now that I've also had forever. Neither brand has failed me once. I'd recommend either of those and you should be golden.

I have had three dead SanDisks.

Hopefully Kingston performs.

I'm thinking about buying two 512 gig or terabyte USB disks and just backing up the whole computer to them.

Surprised you had issues with Sandisks, wow.

Yeah I use terabyte USB drives. Just bought a Seagate 3TB the other day actually. They're fantastic.
