2.4 and 2.5 use slightly different energy sourcing scripts. 2.4 does not source body fat, and 2.5 is multi-sourcing and multi-threaded, so it will identify and source from all available sources that fit the criteria.
I don't see this being an issue of sourcing energy for you. I think it's simple resistance.
