You have to keep in mind that DMSI is primarily an exo-sub, designed to affect those around us.
I'm guessing you haven't tried EPRHA 2.0, which is another 5.5G, though I would say quite a bit less complex than DMSI since E 2.0 was the first 5.5G, and therefore contains less 6G tech.
Using E 2.0 100% convinced me that we're going into crazy and uncharted territory. Shannon has already admitted that he's working on the bleeding edge of what's possible with current tech.
My point is that it might be that exo-subs require a different approach than normal subs which are designed to create most of the changes within you, not to others around you.
That's why DMSI has been updated so much, because Shannon is still figuring it out, but generally speaking the 6G tech so far released (via 5.5G) works like magic in terms of affecting fast and dramatic change within the user.
Losing hope in 6G tech right now is like eating a tiny food sample and being disappointed because you think that's all you get. Hold on there, you still need to try the full meal!
DMSI as it is right now has 19 6G backports in it. Shannon has already said there are like 70 - 80 that he still has to test out.
So let's not judge results so quickly on 5.5G tech which is by definition only a fraction of what 6G has to offer when fully developed.
As a note, I'm not even interested in all the DMSI stuff! Lol Give me Ultimate Writer, even as a 5.5G and I'm pretty damn sure I'll be a happy camper
