Fear is only useful for animals and those of extremely low intelligence, or extremely low maturity and understanding. For the rest, fear becomes a damaging and limiting factor more than helpful for keeping you safe.
The OGSF program, and the OGSF module in E2 and DMSI, transfers responsibility for your safety etc. to your logic and intelligence, rather than irrational fear. In other words, it gets you to use your head in constructive ways, instead of just being a place to put your hat. Or leash, if you like fear a lot.
