How are other subs affected by not completing a track? I get that DMSI doesn't have good consequences, how about other subs?

I believe DMSI is the only subliminal (so far) in the Indigo MindLab library that uses Audio to Silence Ratio Balancer: (ASRB) The program has an odd audio length, caused by the Audio to Silence Ratio Balancer technology, so we refer to amounts of usage by the number of loops of exposure, not the number of hours of exposure.
