On PT people keep going on about your frags and that you are selling them, or used too, through this forum.
Is this true or just misinformation?
I am currently in the process of designing and creating a set of fragrances for an initial line that we will be offering to the public when that line is finished and at a quality level that meets my demands and which Andrew feels comfortable with also. Neither of us is easy to please, but we are partners, so we are going to be doubly picky when it comes to what fragrances we offer.
We haven't started selling them yet; although I do have a dedicated clientele for a couple of my fragrances, who started off as testers and then became addicted to how good it smelled, or the responses it got them or both. Currently that list includes one fragrance for men, and one for women.
Developing fragrances to my standards of excellence is a challenging and slow process. I'm currently working on one called Paradise that is tropical, unisex and sexy, and one that's designed to be fresh, masculine and classy. I'm also working on a more masculinized version of the fragrance for men that has a dedicated clientele, and making it even more erotic.
When we have something we can offer you, trust me, I won't be hiding it.
However, please be aware that we are only going to be making very small batches of each fragrance each year, and therefore each batch becomes a very limited supply. We do this because we don't want everyone smelling the same, which maintains the value of the fragrance for those who choose to wear it. We also do this because it allows us a lot more precision and control of the quality we can achieve in making each batch. Currently, my plan is that each fragrance is only batched once per year, and when that year's batch is gone... well, it's gone until the next year.
Damn that sounds like a very limiting supply. So, when people buy it, they might have to get 2 sets, if possible. If they can't buy more than two, then people will have to be very sparingly with what they have to make it last.
I have in mind, currently, to make each fragrance in a 5 gallon batch per year, and offer it in 50 mL bottles.
A gallon is 128 ounces, and an ounce is 29.97 mL; therefore, a 5 gallon batch could fill as many as 383.616 bottles of that size.
Of course we have to consider various factors such as potential spillage, the amount of product that evaporates during filtration and bottling, the amount that is absorbed by filters or remains on the glass container from which it was poured, accidentally dropped or knocked over bottles. Let us therefore estimate 380 bottles of 50 mL/1.7 oz per fragrance per year.
It is likely that each bottle will be dated, serial numbered and possibly even signed by me by hand as a work of art, thus making it and/or the bottle it came in a collector's item.
