The American university system is a prime example of that. Someone like me who has over a decade of programming experience gets passed up for people who have degrees but no practical experience, then I get hired on a temporary contract basis to fix what they screwed up anyways but they don't keep me around. It's bonkers.
And it's going to break sooner or later and return to natural balance. Artificial manipulation can only be held in place for so long.
