Obviously if I buy AM5 then I'm not going to get AM6 for free (though I know there's a discount).

However, let's say I bought Weight Loss 5g v1 right now, would Weight Loss 5g v5 be free, or would I need to purchase it again?

If you have a copy of V1 of Weight Loss, V5 will be free, regardless of how long ago you bought it. That is not standard procedure, but the R&D on that program is moving so fast that I don't feel comfortable charging for the upgrade.
