For a lack of a better place to put this, and considering we are talking about the subject anyway...


I Have been "best friendzoned" by 5 of the hottest women I know. They call me their best friend, and tell me things like

"You're the only person I would trust to do Reiki on me"
"I'll definitely make time for you"
"I love you"

I can't for the life of me figure out why my mind always think they're just super friendzoning me. Would it be wrong to assume their level of attraction to me is sky high, even though half of them have boyfriends? (Which hottie doesn't always have a man around her?)

Today I felt sick to my stomach when 2 of these girls went up to the podium to talk about me in front of 40 ppl, even though they had nothing but good things to say about me. Each one made it PUBLICALLY clear that I am their best friend....

Which one is it? Friendzone? Or attraction?

Shannon, when you have the time, can you explain exactly why outliers was faulty logic? This is a forum about life and progress after all, I'd like the conversations to be more cantered around that.

No, I can't. To do that I would have to pull up the book, and read it again... take notes... and write a chapter response explaining the faulty logic for each chapter's faulty logic.

In essence, I don't have a couple months or the energy to write a book pointing out the faulty logic in the book. It is a very complex set of arguments for it's points, and to really debate them would require an equally thorough explanation and counter-argument.

To sum up what I would say, in as few words as possible, though:

His arguments are faulty because they ignore, do not even consider or misinterpret and/or misunderstand a variety of variables. His arguments are also faulty because of logical fallacies, which would require the aforementioned book to be written to point out.

Also I have a question about sub listening: let's say I'm playing 2 subs, sub A and sub B, if I listen to sub A for 6 hours, and then listen to sub B for 8 hours, which sub is going to be ingrained and executed first? Should I switch them around depending on which ones more important?

There are far too many variables unaccounted for in that question for me to be able to answer.

Also, I remember you once mentioned that fear of failure had some sort of significance when it came to cognition or emotion, if you remember that concept, what was it? I'd like to know more about it.

I'm afraid I would need more information, as I don't really follow you here.

They may just be using you for your presence, some girls just like to be around you, it's up to you to turn that into something, don't let them define what your relationship will be, go for what you want, and if you don't get it then move on.

And they're contradictory in my mind, too. Which is why I'm so confused.

If a girl says you're her best friend to 40 ppl but then poses in a pic with you making 80% of the side of her body contact with yours... that seems pretty contradictory to me!

And cozy, you are probably right about that too. How do I say this without sounding like i am boasting? I'm sort of perceived as a celebrity or dare I say it "hero" (and as much as I love the attention, it just inflates my ego). It's very possible these women's be riding the curtails of my status, without riding my ****. Hahahaha.

Hey Shannon - I absolutely hate losing code I have worked ages on... I feel your pain. Have you considered using DropBox for all of your scripts? (automated backup) Or maybe just regular source control (e.g. GitHub) to force you to save versions as you build? Then these 'accidents' are very easy to correct.

Also... I assume with the loss of MIR, that MHS will be delayed? (since it would have benefited from much of the MIR work)

Well, if I were you I would try to make them jealous, and see how they respond to that. If you can see that it's working ask them what's wrong, if they mention something tell them you thought they just saw you as friends. Then from there she'll probably start chasing you.
