Delaying overnight playlist before wake? - apollolux - 09-09-2016

This question mainly applies to 5.5G subs that have an amount of recommended loops that results in a total back-to-back play time of less than a full night's sleep (e.g. 8 or more hours).

Is running loops overnight more effective when the playlist ends closer to expected waking time or does it not matter?

A recent example is DMSI 2.4, an ASRB of 30:2 and 5 loops recommended, total play time 5h10m, played back-to-back. If run overnight, since most people do not have players that allow scheduling playlists to start would it be more advantageous to add 2-3 hours of silence before the 5 loops, ensuring the final loop ends right before waking up, or would it not matter and for overnight running convenience just press play before sleep and let the loops end hours before waking?

Hmm I have no idea, i've never thought of it. I kind of like having a bit of time if I can without the subs before waking up.

Though DMSI seems different, a couple of people have mentioned falling asleep then just waking up at the end of it full of energy.

Just pad the beginning of your playlist with mp3's of silence. Just Google squobble blog and download whichever mp3 you need. They are free.

Dmsi is going to be best played such that it's finishing its Loops just as you wake up, yes. But there likely won't be any others like that.
