Had that at work when I was in construction too. like everyone's keeping me from hearing about their "bad" sides. Kind of annoying actually, especially from girls who pretend to be "good" girls. But yeah. Too valuable my mind is, to use drugs or alcohol and destroy it. Not to mention, like I said, running from emotions solves nothing. I enjoy wallowing. Helps me get in touch with myself, but these days, I just wish I knew how to properly deal with feelings, so I could be over them already.
Hmm I can't say I have had people trying to pretend they don't drink, in Australia usually I get crap about it and people trying to get me to drink.
It's more like people trying to impress me with how 'smashed' they got and the stupid things they did.. like "oh yeah man I spewed everywhere.. i'm so good" when I just think it's fucking stupid and I can't see how it would impress anyone how much you can drink. Here there is a term 'softcock' and that is one of the ones i've got in the past because I don't drink.. now I just don't care and i'm so comfortable with it I can laugh that off.
I just realized I either seem to attract girls who drink a fair bit like the one I mentioned in my journal or ones that don't drink at all or drink rarely..not sure what to make of that. I'd of course rather the ones that don't drink.

Yeah I've been around one or two guys like that. Mostly just one actually in my last construction job, but everyone seems to take my side in some form or another.

I am going to let go of the last few comments, a bit surprised to see that much judging on a self help forum. And I quote:"My god, I think I'm in the wrong forum these days."
Hit a few bars with my dad which I haven't done in a while. I remember feeling weird the whole night, very emasculated around other people. Nobody seemed to notice it, but it just didn't feel like I was being myself. Maybe that's how I have always been, but it only now became obvious to me.
I remember there were some guys driving by who yelled some curse words at us to which I didn't even respond, but I didn't get angry at the situation either. Hate that kind of people, I somehow seem to attract that kind of shit.
I remember once this car full of some wannabe guys stopped at the middle of the road and one of them started talking to me with a very silent voice, so I went closer to hear what he was saying and got punched in the face out of the blue after which they drove off. These kind of people usually piss me off, but to the guys who yelled I just didn't react at all. I wonder if I should have done or said something, feels like I submitted to the situation.

Around drinking? I wasn't having a go at you about drinking just talking about my own experience and my opinion of people who think it's a great thing to 'get smashed' and brag about it.
I actually am curious what you're thinking, i'm fine to have the conversation so we might be able to see it from both sides.

It's more in the lines of one comment and then adding to the fire. But as I said I let it go and there's no point bringing it back up.
I have found that I enjoy writing. I don't do that on a big scale since I have had some problems overcommitting in the past and then losing interest, so I now either research a little daily or every few days and maybe write once in a while. It's quite difficult to be literate for someone that's not a native English speaker. I even go over my posts 5-10 times when I update my journal, sometimes deleting a whole essay and then rewrite it in a few sentences.

Hey Natious, I read on another thread that you still suffer from anxiety post-AM6.
If this is still the case, I highly recommend OF as your next sub. It kills anxiety.

It does, but that's only one small piece in the whole program, so it's nothing compared with running EPRHA only.

It really started eating me inside in the end and I almost lost it at some point, the pain and the anger was unbearable. Maybe it just wasn't my time to run AM yet or I somehow resisted it incredibly hard. I might give it another shot in the future, but that won't be for a while.

Yeah they have completely different effects. Shannon mentioned somewhere that EPRHA is suitable for people with severely traumatic pasts and that's where AM could be too rough. Which was my case. What I think is that if you don't have much emotional baggage and have sufficient self awareness, EPRHA by it's self isn't even necessary.

We don't know for sure what Shannon put inside, I think he will tell when it's done. However, I think it will be a great sub to clear the baggage.
