RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 8 - Benjamin - 02-07-2024

I agree that physicality is an important part of it, definately. I've been working on things such as playing with 'roughhousing' type stuff in my men's group, and also working out is a big part of it when that's flowing, then martial arts training.

Since not having a training partner and not doing my martial arts training for around 3 months I feel like i'm missing something important.

But through all of that my aim has been to develop a groundedness, not that over the top bullshit "look at me i'm tough" vibe that posers put on, but a calm and relaxed vibe that you project into the world, that also says "I'm a good guy, but don't fuck with me". I basically would call it a calm, strong groundedness that radiates from you naturally.. not the old over the top fake 'alpha' thing some guys try to put on where they try to intimidate and push everyone around that initially alot of us have been lead to believe is 'alpha'.

Being calm and grounded in uncomfortable situations or confrontations as opposed to losing your shit.

I personally would say that this groundedness you are talking about needs to be developed at the same time as the character/beliefs/programming. I say that because i've been to the level of being one of the most in shape guys in the gym with an impressive physique but still had deeper insecurities going on. Plus as much as martial training helps and I feel better when I do it, I haven't fully discovered how to take what comes from that into all situations which would be ideal.. just that calm groundedness and strong vibe, which I believe is due to insecurities, fears and deeper programming going on. So ideally I think both needs to be developed.

I personally haven't been able to find much body based training that is directly about connecting with Masculinity, such as Qigong or other things about getting into your body, and the occasional thing i've found that seems to be going towards that is full of bullshit like "balance your masculine and feminine equally" or "sensitivity is your strength" and other bs things that have seeped into the 'men's work' industry to weaken men.

Also recently i've found in my men's group that sitting around talking about things, 'sharing circle' and such actually seems like a detriment to me, and last time especially announcing my plans for the year discharged the energy around them in a negative way.. and that my physical training, roughhousing type practices, martial arts have done more to help me feel grounded as a man.

Something is still missing, but it's done more for me than sitting in a circle talking about things, and i've especially realized this since not having my regular training for 3 months.

Most of the so called 'men's work' industry is not helpful and actually a detriment to men. I've seen some incredibly bad and disgusting things some of them have been preaching that I won't go into here.

I've had good results from meditating on the root chakra, and focusing my attention on that area. both in silent meditation and with sounds in the frequency of it (check out meditative mind on YouTube).

From time to time I feel a "release" of energy in the area, almost in the wsy your stomach rumbles when you are hungry.

We collect tensions in our bodies and this make us rigid and tense, working on the root chakra has helped me slowly working trough those tensions. Can also recommend trauma releasing exercises, sometime I just get the feeling of shaking my body and legs like crazy and energy is released and I always feel better afterwards. Also going out dancing and just enjoy the dancing without focusing on hitting on girls etc feels really good.

I've been meaning to write to you for a while about this topic, but haven't really found the words to articulate it. I ran AM some years back, and my energetic system/maturity wasn't ready for it. I wasn't in touch with myself when starting it, and tried to run it almost as an escape for dealing with my problems, living in the delusion of suddenly just "appearing as an Alpha Male". This caused the issue of my lack of contact with myself to only worsen, and I tried to control everything around me to help sustain the illusion of me "becoming Alpha". Ultimately it made me highly dissociated and left in a place worse than I was to start with.

I'm not writing this as to blame the program, but rather what I've learned in the journey to overcome dissociation, and to get back in touch with myself, which primarily is to get back in touch with my body, and how it maybe can help the next AM to work better even for the hard cases, which I am putting myself, ot at least the person I was back then, into.

I've noticed that the people that have a strong masculine energy, are often very much in touch with their physical bodies. When they move around you can sense that they "inhibit" their bodies more than the general person. They seem comfortable, strong and simply relaxed. Working trough the tensions in my own body, experiencing the sensations of fear and other uncomfortable emotions, I have grown more to "inhibit" my body as well, feeling more comfortable around people, not getting wound up what other people do or nor, say or not, and finding a peace in simply "being".

I'm not sure on how this would relate to building out the new AM, but I feel that it's an absolute necessity to have the connection to your body in place before building upon to character. I'm not there yet, the process is slow, tedious and has taken me daily work for years, working with meditation and conscious effort into staying present in your body and experiencing what need to be experienced to release it, bit by bit. But I'm getting there.

I came to think about @NOMAD writing about how Maverick has helped him stay more comfortable even in close proximity with others, perhaps Maverick has helped him achieve this in some direction.

I just though I would share this with you, as I'm imagining the process to figure out how to take AM6 into AM7 already has started somewhere in the back of your head, and how much I believe this would help us getting to a place of calm and strong masculinity, and the challenges it takes to overcome what keep us from being fully present in our physical bodies. Perhaps even it could be an idea to have a "AM-primer" that would help the user achieve this in their own time, as a first step in embarking on the AM journey.

I had issues with AM6 as well. I wasn't able to handle it. I think good primers for it are OGSF (whichever version you choose to buy 5.9 or 5.11G)and/or EPHRA6,  Absolute self-confidence 6G (which should be free as the first 6G experience), and then AM7.

Looks like the streaming is working now

Yep it works now

As for @Shannon, is it recommended that everyone start off with ultrasonic format with Ephrav6, regardless of their personality and the depth of their issues?

RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 8 - Buz - 02-10-2024

I've just purchased the new E6, which I'm looking forward to starting. I've never used a sub that only requires 15 mins before, and I seem to recall you can either start from the beginning of the track, and stop at 15 min mark, or start at the 45 minute mark and stop at 60 mins?

I've done a search but can't seem to find confirmation of this? Can anyone help please?

I don't have E6 yet I'm interested maybe to buy it in the future but from what I can recall from the instructions of OPH which I bought it's the same concept.

Yes do either one it doesn't matter
Just play as instructed for 15 minutes

Also start a journal I'd be interested to read it

Thanks mate, much appreciated!

I've got to take a two week break before I start it, but will post some updates then.

RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 8 - Benjamin - 02-10-2024

It's easier to start it at 45min cos then you know for sure that you're only listening 15 minutes. The other way it could be easy to forget and keep listening.

Shannon, if I met someone on the tail end of DMSI, who I get along with really well, and with whom things are getting serious, would if be a bad idea to pursue a relationship with them for any reason that you can think of?

Didn't know DMSI prevents a serious relationship..?
It will be interesting to see what Shannon replies to your question

RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 8 - NOMAD - 02-16-2024

@Shannon

1) What are your current planned releases prior to releasing ASC 6G?

I originally planned to run Maverick until AM7 is released, but I feel like I've reached the point of diminishing returns with Maverick. Also, the inevitable boredom of running a single stage sub has hit me hard lately. Considering it could be as far out as December before the first 6G release, I'll likely shift gears in the interim.

2) Are you planning to publicly state the goal of the alpha test 6G pre-release program? I'm curious as to what that goal might be and if you're looking to recruit testers.
