RE: Video Games - What do you play? - apollolux - 03-19-2017 I've been playing Minecraft Pocket Edition like it's a zen garden; I use it to occupy myself and keep calm. Also, I need to eventually do my annual playthrough of Chrono Trigger since my birthday is coming up. I might stream it on Twitch this year if I can fix my setup. RE: Video Games - What do you play? - Benjamin - 03-19-2017 Damn old Chrono Trigger. I like it back in the snes days but never finished it. Played it a few times on emulator but I kind of get bored with it. Breath of Fire 2 though.. I hired it from a video shop when I had a snes and loved it.. played it multiple times on emulator. I don't think i've ever finished it though as it's pretty big. RE: Video Games - What do you play? - Benjamin - 03-30-2017 Thimbleweed Park. Just brought it, haven't played yet but it's by the guy who made Maniac Mansion. The graphics even remind me of Maniac Mansion. Watch out for that evil meteor! Not sure if any of you will remember that game, but it was a classic back on nes. I played it over and over using different characters and trying different things. I haven't watched the launch trailer because I want to experience it from playing the game, but if anyone is interested. RE: Video Games - What do you play? - Blacksheep - 03-30-2017 (.....) RE: Video Games - What do you play? - Benjamin - 03-31-2017 I loved Day Of The Tentacle too. Did you play Maniac Mansion when it first come out? Compared to Day Of The Tentacle I can see how it could seem dated, no voice etc. RE: Video Games - What do you play? - SargeMaximus - 03-31-2017 After a long break I'm back trying to beat Dark Souls 3. I was super young (maybe 6 or 7, so maybe 1991) when I first played it, no idea what to do or where to go, and no one I knew had experience with the game pre-GameFAQs. All three characters kept getting caught and thrown in the basement, me with no idea how to get out. RE: Video Games - What do you play? - Blacksheep - 03-31-2017 (.....) All three characters kept getting caught and thrown in the basement, me with no idea how to get out. I was probably a few years older than that. But I also knew a guy who was older and played it alot so he told me stuff. You needed 2 characters to get out of the dungeon and there was 1 brick on the wall one had to press to open the door for the other to get out. And later in the game you can get a key for it. RE: Video Games - What do you play? - Benjamin - 04-02-2017 So much frustration in Thimbleweed Park. I chose 'hard' because it has the most puzzles where casual doesn't so it's like a classic adventure game. But it gets so frustrating because it's not a 'do things you want' game, it's mostly linear. And there can be 1 little thing I just can't find. As opposed to an open world rpg for example there's always something else to do, or sometimes another way to solve things. But it's still cool, just frustrating. I guess we aren't used to this kind of challenge in games these days. Years ago i'd have to solve it myself and was more patient, now with the internet it's too easy and tempting to look up walkthroughs. RE: Video Games - What do you play? - Firebrand - 04-08-2017 Man, Savage XR is a pretty damn good game. Half-dead, but can still play a few good, populated matches on it. Savage 2 and Savage Resurrection are completely dead though. So sad. |
