RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 5 - Aventus45 - 11-15-2020 @Shannon Just found out my foobar has been stopping after the first track or inconsistently playing the stage.... i dunno what i should do about it because i don't know when it started to do that. Edit: It may be the ASRB that threw me off thinking it wasn't playing. You know, I'm having a harder and harder time ignoring your impatience and snark. I get it, you want me to build it sooner or later, but there are other factors to consider. It's not just what you want. If we had a way to do subscriptions, believe me, we'd be doing them. Right now, we do not. It's not about having financial incentive to work on it. It's about what I can do to make it achieve its goals right now. We shall see what we can do. There is an idea that may work, but I'm not done figuring out all the parts of it. But in the meantime, please be patient. I can only go so fast and still do these correctly. Back to the days when it was natural. If I make OED, the goal will be to overcome erectile dysfunction. That will not be an instant thing... and the result will free you up to get an erection in response to what would normally trigger one if you didn't have OED. What you're describing isn't just OED, it would also be something else. I have long wondered how they managed to take a beast of a reliable OS like Linux and make it do the same crap I left Windows 98 for in the 1990's when they put it on phones. I have not found any player that seems to be immune. I hope it was just the ASRB that threw you off. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 5 - Catman - 11-16-2020 For anyone with a Foobar issue of it "stopping play", I have some information. Based off recommendations here, I've tried Foobar myself on my phone. I've noticed a graphical bug with the program. When you have a playlist going, sometimes when a track is supposed to switch over to the next one, an error will occur. The lock screen will show it as paused 0:00 track time. However, if you open the app, you will see it indeed playing as normal how it should be. So, it's merely a graphical error, not a functional one. Also, there's an issue I've noticed where at times after playing the playlist it will disappear from the lock screen, other times it won't. Odd. But upon opening the app, I've noticed the app has played the playlist to the end regardless. Just wanted to bring that to the attention of you all as I discovered it while using it. Stay safe. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 5 - ncbeareatingman - 11-16-2020 WTF could it be ,say thee,Mister? is my response to the below comments from Shannon!! I knw I know already that it wont be announced until its released. how close are you, to that, mister??? 51 minutes ago (This post was last modified: 50 minutes ago by Shannon.) I'm working on something I think you guys are going to like. It's not what I originally thought it would be, because that would have taken too long to build. This, however, I had been working on as a secret project in my spare time for the last almost year now so it's mostly finished. I didn't want to release it yet, was planning on sometime next year, but this seems like the best option for building right now, so... here we go. I have some more modules to script and optimize, and then I have to verify that all modules are coherent with each other. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion Thread, Vol. 5 - Catman - 11-16-2020 @Shannon, can the latest GPR sub treat pain from Rheumatoid Arthritis tangibly? My Mother has an awful case of it, and due to past situations with Cancer and other stuff, she can't take pain meds for it. Thank you, Shannon! I've had people test it against RA in the past but that was a few versions ago. Haven't had any testers for that for the last couple versions. Good news is, even the version that was trusted against it seemed to achieve at least moderate pain relief. I think that was Prototype 12 or 14. So should work relatively well when the joints are not in use. Not sure what it will do while they are in use. I can attest that GPR Elwood (for me) has helped with multiple - albeit minor(ish) - pain issues. Headaches, back pain, leg cramps, GERD. I like it a lot. My wife, however (a hard resistor), hasn't responded. I see, thanks Shannon. So it's kinda unknown what it will do, okay. I know the versions over time have changed, and I recall you telling people in posts that certain GPRs do certain things better (can't pull up the old posts on that) so not sure what to expect with GPR and RA. You mention GPR-20, is that being released soon or is that just a thought about a future program down the road type of thing? Will it do a better job specifically for RA? Or is it aimed at something else with pain? BONUS: I saw your encouraging news about DMSI! Any more information you can elaborate on about this new method and anything else in regards to DMSI? This is welcome news, any kind of development is excellent to hear about! If you mostly leave the phone alone, it shows correctly. Either way, as you said, it plays correctly, just does not show it. I still believe it’s the best player for iOS because other than this minor visually bug, it never let me down. Well first... based on previous testing, GPR P-18 should work well for RA, but it is still known to be weak with sources of pain that are being actively aggravated. Just had no reports on RA for a while. GPR-P20 is not in queue for build for a while yet. I can't know what it will do for certain until we actually test it IRL, but I have a significantly better understanding of how to make it work now, and the skeleton script and build methods will be significantly upgraded as well. The idea I'm working on vetting for trying to achieve outward facing FRM is just a hypothetical right now. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth actually trying. I'd love to tell you more, but I can't do that without giving away too much, and we don't even know if it will work well enough to try yet. However, what I can say is, if it does prove to be worth trying, and it works, it should solve several issues I'm dealing with in one fell swoop. I do not expect it to be the whole solution, but it would be about 5/6ths of the solution if it works as intended. Will know more after building this month's program and LTUv6 Stage 5. In the mean time, I'm just doing a super long modeling run on the concept. Computer's been up 43 days now, and that is also an experiment: does running a question for super long time continue to increase the accuracy of the answer? How accurate can we get? |
