RE: USLMax Interlude and Musings - Have at ye - 10-15-2018 Just received an offer through e-mail to translate several scholarly articles by what looks to be a pretty serious scholar from a pretty serious institution. Intriguing. Gonna write her back in the morning, it's time for sleep. EDIT Sleep and my loops for the day, naturally. RE: USLMax Interlude and Musings - Have at ye - 10-15-2018 Loopity loops felt good overnight. Many thoughts occurring, but pleasant ones mostly. Nothing too unseemly. I did apply additional shielding protocol just in case, though. I think my subC can handle the workload. I have a tour next week, but a local one, so I should be able to listen to USLMax at home on headphones. Just gonna have to move the listening time a little bit earlier. That's interesting, not something i'd think of with something like US/LM.. though to think of it now success is also getting along with people well. And the FRM stuff will also help the Self Esteem, Positive Thinking Positive Attitude programming from the skeleton script come through more.. which helps you get along better with people. Actually in saying that I just realized when I thought of US I mainly was thinking of business type stuff.. and it's not just limited to that obviously. I don't always do. It's all-purpose greatness! RE: USLMax Interlude and Musings - Have at ye - 10-17-2018 Last night's loops felt pretty good, although I was a bit jumpy in the beginning. Then I went to sleep through the rest of them. Progress is happening, definitely. Today will be day 6, so afterwards we've got 3 break days. RE: USLMax Interlude and Musings - Have at ye - 10-17-2018 I made a meme. It's my first! I'll explain what it's about in the evening, when I'm at home USLMaxing. Just kinda tired to do an elaborate write-up, TBH, got back home late. I think I'll turn in for the night while USLMaxxing. I'll explain further what I'm driving at sooner or later, no worries. Could be useful! RE: USLMax Interlude and Musings - Chris P. Bacon - 10-17-2018 (10-17-2018, 02:11 AM)Have at ye Wrote: I made a meme. It's my first! I'm sure you are! So, I'll not write anything tonight. Just kidding. Honestly, I'll try to write a short little something to try to explain this, but the entirety of the idea could take... pages. I'm not even done formulating it intellectually yet. In other USLMaxx news - Bardic skillz are leveling up *really* nicely. Worked with my vocal coach today, and she was all like "but... how the... why... wha... how'd you manage to grasp and internalize all this *this* quickly?" (By "this" she meant some stuff we were working on last Thursday). I was like "huh? I dunno." But - if she says I'm picking up this stuff with amazing alacrity, then she's probably right; she's got years of experience teaching this stuff. Also - on Sunday, I received an item I ordered the same day I purchased USLM. Been testing it. By gosh and golly. Now that's an item! I am astounded at the possibilities. So, onto that "conquer all" thing. I read this very Rule 4 book some time back, and it had some Rule 4 things that I found extremely useful and am still using. Now, the author of that book used the concept of being a "predator" to teach what it was all about. And then I found myself thinking, "boy, that's *smart*". Why? Because, as homo sapiens sapiens, we all actually *are* predators at some level. *Whether we like it or not*. I mean, even if you're a born hardcore vegan, at some point you - or your direct ancestors - have killed something (or paid someone to kill something for you) and then ate it. To gain energy. And this has been going on pretty much for the entire time the human race has existed as a species. So, whether you like it or not, you're a predator. So - using the concept of being a "predator" is smart, because - the subconscious can tap into it, *easily*. It's there. It's just, in many cases, dormant. And once you unleash it, well... And I do mean, literally, unleash - take the leash off. It's there. And it goes *deep*. It's a very primal thing. So then I came to contemplate the concept of "conquest". What does it mean to conquer? What does it mean to be a conqueror? And I do not mean the definitions you'll find in a dictionary - I mean, funnily enough, the definitions become circular when it comes down to it. And I do believe that this concept of "conquest" is also a deeply ingrained one. So, if a thing cannot kill you, how do you make it make you stronger? You conquer it. Make it your own. So it's now yours and now it works *for* you. Basically, you are now *in charge* of a thing. So communicating to the conceptual levels of your unconscious that you want to *conquer* will guide you how to do it, and give you a certainty that *it can be done*. It's a Jedi mindtrick, really. It's why we talk about "conquering one's fears", etc., I think. I think it's way more practical and efficient than, f. in., the concepts of "perseverance", "struggling against", "fighting something" and even "overcoming something". Because once you set your mind to the "I conquer stuff" aspect, then - and I now do mean it literally - if something cannot kill you, it will make you stronger. Because once you've conquered something, it's yours. Conquest is expansive. NOTE: Just in case I'd like to add that I do not mean the above in a "Now go forth and invade Poland!" sense. I kinda like the place, actually, so don't do that. RE: USLMax Interlude and Musings - Have at ye - 10-19-2018 Reminder to myself: on break until Sunday. RE: USLMax Interlude and Musings - Have at ye - 10-19-2018 Focused on leveling up my other character class today. If the stuff I'm doing is going to work the way I think it can, then whoa. In other words: progress! RE: USLMax Interlude and Musings - Paul1131 - 10-19-2018 Great thoughts on conquest, love the warrior mindset. |
