Based on my experience with SM, I did not feel an increase urge to look at porn or to masturbate, except maybe one particular stage. However by stage 6, there is not much of an urge if at all. This may be consistent with those journals because I don't recall any of those users of SM reporting an obsession with porn or masturbation by the end of the program. I do recall some having a higher urge at particular stages but not obsessive behavior as a result of SM at the end. I think it's because the program increases the quality of women that you look for to a high level. Also the non neediness is at a high level by stage 6.

But was porn a weakness for you to begin with? I guessing not. It's more a reflection of the person than it is the program.

True. It wasn't a problem for me to begin with. Its just that as I read your message as saying that as a result of using SM, some people in their journals were reporting that they had become more obsessed with porn and masturbation. I didn't necessarily observe that message from their journals. What I did read in one or two journals is that they felt they had a problem with porn at the beginning and after using SM, they didn't feel that SM took care of it. But they did not say, from what I recall, is that they became more obsessed as a result of using SM.

But I do hear ya. I don't think you were trying to say what I interpreted from your message. I think you are simply saying that you have a problem and you would like SM to take care of it. I do think that if it is a big issue for certain people, I think it should have its own program so that issue is the only one you are concentrating on. If it is included in SM, it goes in with a huge amount of other stuff and all this competes for your brain power. I do think it could go in as a separate module that could be used along with using SM or for standalone usage. If it is a big problem for you, use as a standalone so that it gets all your concentration. Now that I'm thinking about it, isn't there already a separate module? I thought there may be one but I may be wrong.

People have expressed to me offline that this has happened to them. Not everyone is going to talk about this in the forums as it might be a source of shame - or they might not realize that it's reducing the effectiveness of the program and not bring it up.

My motive for bringing this up actually is to improve the program, not a selfish one as you suggest. I haven't used SM.

If directing people away from one thing to another is too much for the program, too much for the brain, or simply wont work, Shannon will make that determination. It might not need a long additional script to work, but if it does work, it will yield better results, hence more positive journals, hence a larger profit.
Ok. I didn't realize you were talking about offline discussions. That didn't come across.

Sorry about my comments. I actually Didn't think you were selfish at all. You just want to have something to help you. I know what I am saying may be a little counter to yours and as such, I'm probably the one being a little selfish. I've been through SM twice and i just wanted to keep focus on the ultimate goal especially if there are already a large number of items going into the program already. You are right, Shannon is the ultimate decision maker of what gets in. If your recommended programming gets in, that's cool. I will still use it, but I just wanted to offer Shannon an alternate viewpoint of a separate module to specifically focus on your particular issue. It's also possible that it may already be in the current SM2.0 because I seem to recall a prior discussion about this issue when SM was being developed. So, you are not alone. And, If that is the case then what I am saying is all out the door. You would already be taken care of.
Hey Graduate, take a look at the Overcome Pornography Addiction sub which is under the addiction category. I just now looked it up. I knew there was something that was developed and i just now saw it. See if that will help you. Good luck in your journey.

Only an idiot would make a suggestion based on their own personal needs while not considering the larger group. Yes I was already aware of the Porn sub. And no I have never purchased it. And yes you are passive aggressive.
Okay I conceded my selfish point but if we are going to stoop to calling someone an idiot, I could say that your wants are also based on your personal needs without necessarily consideration of the larger group if a majority of the larger group of users don't have the issue you cited. Now we will probably not know whether a majority of the users have or don't have that issue, so all we can do is assume. I tried to be a little cordial in my presentation and if I am coming off as a little aggressive, it's not intended, but if I am, I can only go with my AM and SM training. So, if you have not done those programs, I suggest you do. Despite being called an idiot, I wish you well and hope it all works out for you.
Oh believe me, there's nothing Alpha about passive aggression. Look it up.
I wish you well and good luck in your journey.
So what goodies are going to be in 3.0 opposed to 2.0?

TheGraduate, stop the crap. It's the second time i've seen you insulting members when it isn't warranted. The first time I was a little more gentle about it, but seems it didn't come across how I intended.

On the subject, i'm pretty sure SM 2.0 included stuff about not looking at porn. And I can recommend the overcoming pornography program if anyone has an issue with it, that does the job well. It was crazy how much my sex drive come back from stopping porn and using that program.

This is interesting. Shouldn't the subs steer you in the direction they are designed to steer you anyways? I mean, even if you have a porn addiction. The sub isn't about porn, it's about sex with real women. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If, however, there is a chance that the program could increase the general sex drive, but not a specific target towards real women, I'm all for including something in the script to bring that about.
Graduate and Jamboree. Take it easy, this is not going to get either of you to your goals.

Thanks

Fonzy
