Great thread, someone mentioned before that pick up artists are like pro MMA fighters, for them going out and getting more reference experience and sharing it with the rest of the world is in a way running their own 'business', doing their OWN thing, it's not that they put entire focus on getting laid with the girls as some of you might think.

Couple of weeks I've watched a great video on RSDMax - How To Be An Attractive Man - Revealing Highly Effective Core Values That Every Girl Loves

I think this video will explain what's the actual mindset of these guys, it's not like some of you are describing in this thread, they really know that focusing on working hard on yourself first is the main priority for a man.

For someone who doesn't have time to watch the video, these are final thoughts of Max:
- my life is awesome and women are a bonus
- sex is natural
- i don't need others validation
- i like to lead (but i don't have to)

Owen Cook from RSD is the only pua I'd ever take advice from because he's the only one that has SOME truth and isn't all internet marketing, filling guys with false hopes to make some money.

If you boil it down though, RSD is millionaire, model looking guys that dress extremely well and have a big social circle of good looking successful guys and girls. If I had that, I'd be extremely pimp as f**k too.

When you have an attractive multi-millionaire with cool friends telling you that you don't need looks, money, or cool friends that's just so retarded to me it's hilarious and that's why ONLY their wealthy, good looking customers with 'cool' friends get results.

Nobody gets results with RSD unless they're well off financially and in the looks department.

They like to say they're poor and ugly, but who are they comparing themselves to? I see a bunch of good looking rich guys.

If what RSD teaches really worked, why do they only hire good looking guys that are well off, middle class family? If I had knowledge that would help ugly poor guys with no friends get hot women, I'd hire ugly poor guys and fat guys as instructors, then everyone would have undeniable proof that what they teach gets the girls and it has nothing to do with looks/money/status.

They approach every girl they see. If you're GOOD LOOKING, AND A MILLIONAIRE, and you approach every girl you see, OBVIOUSLY you're going to get laid all the time. OBVIOUSLY. Okay.

I've never seen or heard of anyone getting laid from RSD's teachings that was a guy I would look at and be surprised about hearing he got laid. So that is not very impressive now is it?

They trick you into thinking there's something the have inside that you need, but really all you need is their looks and money, and then if you approach every girl like they do then you'll get the results they do.

If you're ugly or fat and do what they do, you could have even better game than them and you aren't getting with any girl. MAYBE you'll make a girl fall in love with you over time and be able to get with her BUT you will NOT be having one night stands with hotties you randomly approach, and if you think you are then that's hilarious.

So, if you're average looking or better, and are financially independent which isn't too important, then you can go ahead and spam approach every girl and not be too nice or too needy and you'll get tons of sex.

If you're ugly, that sh** aint gonna fly unless you're rich.

Okay, there's a difference between being attractive and wealthy and saying you're ugly and poor and actually being ugly and poor.

A gym membership, not being desperate, and spam approaching is all you need to get laid as much or more than anyone in RSD.

That s**t is a cult but if you do listen to those monkeys I'd recommend listening to Owen Cook ONLY because he's the only one that started from the bottom, and actually used to be kind of ugly. Everyone he 'puts on' though is just some good looking prep/model guy and it's like what the f**k? Obviously those guys get laid why would I need their advice?

Everyone and their mom knows that pretty rich boys get laid, so why on Earth listen to a bunch of pretty rich boys telling you that you don't need to be pretty or rich?

If what they taught was true, then they would have ugly ass fat instructors running around pimping but they only hire pretty boys, because if you're not a pretty boy then you're NOT going to get results from spam approaching. It's pathetic to me.

One of my friends recommended to this website, and I can definitely see why. I am quite skeptical of stuff like this, but seeing his improvements in confidence and his ability with women is intriguing. One thing about me is that I'm willing to give anything a shot -- look forward to reading more!

Too many guys think that being alpha male is the guy who beats up other guys or is the loudest in the room. A real alpha is cool and level headed. A few weeks ago this guy who tried to be alpha with me backed down after i spoke to him calmly.

At first he tried to enter my personal space speaking loudly. I automatically put my hands out in a submissive posture and said to him "hey i am not looking for any trouble ok".

Placing hands out in a submissive posture may seem gay to some people here but its two fold. First it shows you are humble, second it shows you have no weapons to hide and third it protects the personal space.

This is what i call the fence. Creating a barrier between you and the guy. Anyway after speaking to him calmly be backed off. Also its a sneaky to do a hand smash into his face if he violates your personal space

None of the guys from RSD are truly Alpha.

Even after years of Owen going out I still don't think him as a true alpha male. Even if one may consciously choose certain thoughts to replace old programmings, the most difficult part is having true realizations aka the subconscious flip. So far I see it can only be done fastest by subliminal but give a normal joe it will take years for him to truly reach the stage where he manifests traits such as self validating, high level of self esteem, supreme confidence etc. The RSD instructs encourages the "fake it until you make it " route which does not guarantee true results. One can fake confidence for a while but reaching true confidence will require a lot other helps and realizations, which aren't easily reached or accessed.

Owen is still somewhat beta in his core it's easy to tell from his interview. However it isn't to say he is not offering any values as he is definitely trying hard to improve himself. Max is still quite immature he needs to age and experience more to become more masculine. Julien is ok imo he is comparatively more fearless to the other instructors, but needs to become healthier emotionally. However non of them are true alphas as I can see, but the mindsets, tools and logistics regarding game is fantastic. Certain rules can be neglected after running the 6 stages. For example like trying to have core confidence, be self validating, be your own boss all the time - the sub is already ingrainig that fully into your mind. However topics like how to have more momentum and productivity during seductions, how to effectively manage a pick up lifestyle or how to have good logistics can definitely be mimiced or studied after

I agree, I never liked Owen. He always struck me as a really feminine dude and just rubs me up the wrong way. Jeffy, Tim and Julien seem pretty cool though. Aswell as another guy who's name I can't remember as I don't follow them anymore at all.

I get the same exact vibe from Owen. I'm confused about his success with women as a result. I'm convinced most of that stuff is all internet marketing and show to make money.

Many of them appear awkward or try hard. I can't tell why or how they get the success with women they claim to, so I'm very skeptical. So it's hard for me to get behind them.

I can see how some of them do, but not Owen.

And even worse he took the name of one of the coolest characters from my favourite movie Tyler Durden and basically fucked up that whole reference by being a girly loser just trying to pretend with that name.

Routines are very much lower level compared to when you have great mindsets. Having great mindsets allow one to execute without even even a word. Just like MMA you have to start from beginning, learning the basic movements how to throw a punch etc. Once it's been repeated, the rest will be personal mindsets. Thinking different ways how to beat an opponent. Trying different angles, attacking weaknesses, elevating leverage etc. Pickup is much similar. How to gain a girl's interest by simply being, spot on any opportunities and pull. Having a strong mindset will probably take years of practice so really can't thank enough for Shannon's sub for speeding up the process.

And Frosted I am thinking about doing something similar too but I'll first game myself, to see what SM can bring. I am probably the only one who has had taken a bootcamp a few years ago in Asia. All I can say is it really gives you some insights into how pickup works.. Not necessarily teaching you how to become attractive as that is a too far-fetched goal for any self help gurus, but giving you an example of how to play the game. How to approach according to the Pickup standard. How to have fun and make the most out of your nights etc. So bootcamp is useful in that regard, giving and training you a few strategies to meet and escalate on girls, that's all I can see. But it's got 0 to do with self-improvement.

I think a lot of people are getting the wrong idea what 'pick up' actually is. It's not about routines or manipulation. Neither is it fake internet marketing.

All RSD are doing is that they are teaching you to be a better version of yourself, so you'll become more natural and charismatic with women.

I am a part of the local community of guys who regularly do cold approaching. A lot of them came from nothing, and they are pretty good at getting results with women. They just worked hard to develop those skills. As for myself, I'm progressively improving month after month, as you can see in my journal. I used to be this socially awkward guy who was shy with girls and had zero experience. I've improved so much since then and I'm a completely different person now.

This pick up stuff does work, but you just have to stick at it for long enough to see results. Like with anything in life, success come from hard work. You can't do it for a bit then expect instant results. It's too easy to give up very quickly or dismiss it as fake or you aren't putting yourself through the necessary hard work.

forgive me for playing the devil's advocate, I had some concerns about the nature of the AM program because well it's hard to build up faith to something that one can't personally hear what is going on...

In this case, your responses about what is Alpha, truly resonates with me. Even though as a challenge I brought different perspectives from PUA community, in a way to see how you handled those contradictory points.

I'm quite impressed. both about your knowledge of this subject and the AM program itself...

right now, just started hammering down on OGFS and AOS(sort of in a testing out phase, for fun, and for preparation I suppose). Since I have been reading that OGFS may act as a clearing tool to make AM more effective... I'll keep checking in for the new AM to come out.

It's hilarious and fascinating to read this thread. I've never understood folks like RSD . Something is fundamentally wrong with you if you base your entire existence on getting numbers or getting laid. I looked into AM 6 because I used to think that having a girlfriend or whatever would make me happy or complete. All I managed to do was come across as very needy and desperate or attract women that I should have walked away from. I'm a guy. I don't want drama and I sure as shit don't want some so called 10 or whatever other arbitrary way you classify a women , with enough unresolved baggage to fill a cargo ship or with zero ambition or personality , to create even more and try to drag me into it.

I remember maybe fifteen or so years ago I was in a therapy session and the psychologist told me something that took me until a couple of years ago to fully understand. He said " chase your career not women" . Women want a guy who's got his shit together and doesn't make his entire life about her. What Shannon said about being healthy mentally and emotionally as well as completely self reliant should in my opinion, be every guy's goal .
