Stage 3, Day 6,
Thinking ahead to running the Overcoming Fear subliminal, I reflected a bit.
I realized that there are very few areas of my life which aren't run by fear.
As I was questioning every assumption and reason for living my life - though my daily tasks do have some rational purpose - the underlying assumptions have to do with the fear of something bad happening.
For example, if I ask myself: "Why don't I start X", the answer eventually winds up becoming: "Because I'm worried that Y."
Interesting thought experiment.
Stage 3, Day 10,
I'm 90% of the way through my 5th draft. It's the 10th day.
I anticipate to finish today, as it's the weekend.
I will add a few points throughout this book, then do a pass-through, do formatting, arrange references, then do a final pass. Should be fine from there.
Stage 3, Day 12,
I finished the 5th draft and indexed 3/4s of my books references. This is a first pass, as I'll have to go through it again to remove all of the URLs.
My goal is to publish the book by the 20th of January, inauguration day.
Stage 3, Day17,
I finished the first and second passes of the reference indexing. I'll have to index a few more references.
Started on 6th draft two days ago, I'm at 12% of the draft.
I'm hacking at bushes in the introduction, but I'll be flying once I get to the first chapter.
Stage 3, Day 18,
I realized today that I have social anxiety. I was feeling constrained and anxious at the grocery store today, then realized that I wasn't feeling or acting any different than my previous shopping trips.
Stage 3, Day 20,
I completed Draft #6 yesterday. I'm 12% through draft #7 right now.
I started a new 99Designs contest to get a design for the book cover.
I have the ISBN and barcode paid for (barcode on the way in email).
Stage 3, Day 23,
I finished Draft #7 yesterday, though I will add a couple of extra points.
I have the formatting left (titles on top of pages/page numbers/some titles), as well as the index, and an appendix
Stage 3, Day 5,
Finished the formatting and the appendix. I'm partway through the index.
After receiving my book design (which is most of the way through), I'll reach out to my usual cover guy to make the book cover, then I'll be able to submit it to Amazon!
Paperback project will be complete within 48-72 hours. I'll reach out to someone to convert the book to Kindle for me.
As a side note,
I have an intricate set of habits and patterns which I lean on to prevent me from going to bed at a reasonable hour.
Once I do go to bed, I have a set of imaginations which pump fear into me.
The one I used to have a couple of years ago was the "I'm driving on an icy road; my car slides and collides with another."
The one I've had the previous month or two was the "I'm balancing on the side of a giant skyscraper on a unicycle and OOOPS down I fall."
The one I've had recently was the home invasion type. The worst one is the "I'm randomly being attacked in public by radical terrorists (consult recent political history) who shivs me or tries to knocks me out, etc.
Keep in mind that I live in Canada, meaning that B and E's are quite rare; even if they do, there are very few pistols or handguns. I know that this is irrational, but it runs through my mind.
This is one of the reasons that I will run OF v.2 after AM6.
This has gotten a bit better throughout this Stage, though I've changed nothing about my habits.
Stage 3, Day 28,
So far in already?
I finished writing my book on Sunday, and I went out and bought some junk food/drinks. Celebrated a bit.
I will return to clean living once I run through my supplies.
I've been buying tech fixes and things which simplify my life. Ex: printer off Kijiji. USB hub. Seat cushion to sit with good posture without wrecking ass muscles, etc.
I then used my new printer to print digital versions of my 3x/weekly to-do lists. I will be able to save roughly 20 minutes three times per week, and will help me avoid having to go to bed later by doing a menial task.
Once I officially finish my book project (by publishing paperback and Kindle), I will celebrate by purchasing two rings of special significant to me. They are money rings; I'll have to focus on money for the next few years.
Congrats on finishing your book!

Thanks! I'm waiting on my cover artist to finish his work, then I can publish.
Stage 4, Day 2,
Feeling tired.
Guitar playing is returning to normal after a week-long break and even with some drinking involved.
I'm going to ditch my typical exercises and add new ones related to alternate picking.
I've also returned on the treadmill and ran today.
Been doing singing training; will try to practice at least 5 days per week.
Stage 4, Day 4,
Been getting used to the new stage. Not feeling much different from Stage 3.
I ran on the treadmill for 1.25 hours today at a reasonable pace; my heart rate was still in threshold.
I practiced guitar for several hours yesterday and especially today. Added a new guitar exercise.
I'm trying to get a hold of the guy responsible for signing people up to a coding bootcamp; I would be doing it on a part-time basis. Learning web development is a part of my grander plan surrounding technology.
