Stage 1, Day 28,
I've had a productive day on Saturday, but now it's 4:15 PM on Sunday and I've just barely gotten dressed after playing Hitman on my Xbox.
I've charted my finances for February and my savings are about 1/6th to 1/7th of what it was in 2019.
I kind of want pizza lol
I also want to get in a run before it gets too late in the day.
Stage 1, Day 31,
My head is literally swimming in business concepts. Everything about selling products feels upside down.
I have a couple of lead magnet landing pages set up. I can send some unqualified traffic there and test the results.
I will be sending legit paid traffic there but I'm so unclear about which steps to take first.
For example, for Facebook ads, you need a Facebook page, etc.
What's really getting me confused is all of the A/B testing that will presumably get me from zero to hero.
Stage 2, Day 1,
I'm feeling incredibly decadent and unwilling to do the important things to actually grow a business.
I got a new desktop today - dropped over a grand (USD) on it - and it's incredibly fast.
I bought Skyrim on a CD-key purchase and experimented with some mods; it runs really smoothly.
After a few hours of playing, I'm no longer interested in continuing at it. I've played it before.
Attended BJJ today for about 1 hour, then hopped on the treadmill and ripped out 3.5 miles.
Not sure what I'll be doing tomorrow or the day after that, but it I know that I'll likely want to avoid doing "the work"; the things that will actually move the needle.
Stage 2, Day 2,
I spent most of my day doing absolutely nothing productive.
I missed out on the gym, where I would have gone running.
I think I am feeling what is best described as depressed; feeling like I am behind of all of my major goals, not feeling the motivation to go after any of them, and even questioning the point of living if I won't be accomplishing these goals.
But as of 11 PM today, an internal turning point. I'm starting to make some small moves to plan for my business.
I bought the domain name I wanted.
I also set up a Trello board with my to-dos for my sales funnel.
Stage 2, Day 6,
I would consider last week's developments to be personal depression. But the cloud appears to have lifted.
And the wheels are in motion. I'm setting my alarm clock earlier and earlier; I normally crawl out of bed at 7:25 AM, but I've now set it for 6:45 AM. I've been able to squeeze in about 40 minutes of work on my business. I'm currently writing a bonus ebook and will likely be finished tomorrow.
I've mentally moved from pre-contemplation to full on contemplation for moving to Montreal.
I'm currently in a city about 1/15th of the size, and not fully happy about it. And so, I'm actively looking up the prices of moving and of finding an apartment.
I realize that I'd be jumping onto a moving treadmill, figuratively speaking, but I think that the overall net effect on my life will be very positive..
Stage 2, Day 14,
A quick thought.
Instead of setting their limitations according to their beliefs, most people set their beliefs according to their limitations.
Stage 2, Day 16,
Hanging in there. Got a bunch of prepper equipment/gear that came in the mail yesterday.
Make bank arrangements to stop automatic transfers to my investment accounts.
As long as I keep working, I'll weather this storm perfectly fine, even with my new purchases.
I'm sure that there will be haircuts, but I've got a large buffer.
Thank god for saving my money.
Today was a waste of a day, productivity wise. Got laid though.
Stage 2, Day 24,
Some reason to hope.
I've been well aware that I've been avoiding some of the hard work related to my business.
And so I decided to make a brief list of these things.
I've been taking steps of overcome these things.
And so, I set up my Active Campaign autoresponder and Facebook ads.
Where I felt intense doubts about how well my Facebook ads would do, I now have 24 new leads (starting at 0). And each lead cost me about 1 USD. Excellent!
I created the outline for a book/screenplay. I still have to create the outline for another book I plan to write, as well as the outline for a non-fiction book I plan to write.
I'll be creating VSL (video sales letters) for two lead magnets, as well as for the core sales page. This will come pretty soon. I've recorded the audio for all three; my cell phone has a surprisingly good microphone, and the audio will only need touchups.
Edit: is 30 leads now as of 1 AM.
Congrats on the Leadgen. Many happy conversions
Stage 2, Day 32,
Looks like it's time for Stage 3. That crept up on me quickly.
I'll leave a more detailed post shortly.
I almost gamed the Facebook ads when I selected 'Conversions' as my metric, but it wouldn't recognize the conversion pixel. It gave me 19 email contacts over night with about 8 bucks, then stopped sending me traffic lol.
Contrast that to last night's campaign. On 8 USD, I created 133 link clicks, but only 5 email contacts.
Something in-congruent with my landing page. Maybe I should make it a squeeze page.
Stage 3, Day 5,
I've fixed the Facebook ads issue. Made 'Conversions' as my metric and fixed my pixel. Got 7 leads at 6.50 USD.
Also chose 'Leads' as a secondary campaign and have gotten 18 leads at 0.9 USD a lead, but it's not integrated into my email marketing campaign.
Leads is doing better than Conversions focus because my budget is 250% higher lol.
I'll probably switch to conversions because the costs per lead are about the same.
Also fixed an issue in ClickFunnels regarding integrations, so I'll keep my eye out for that issue.
Email contacts jumped from 92 to 119 in about 24 hours because of this.
24 Percent Email Conversion Rate, BABY!
2020-April-15: Now it's 37%
Stage 3, Day 34,
Been on this stage longer than anticipated.
No major changes in income, but a big productivity.
Been working hard on my non-fiction book; wrote 7K words on Friday, 10K words yesterday (Saturday) and 5K today on my first draft. Making huge strides.
