Notable of the day:
At the gym, I was doing cable crunches on the universal, and a dude - big, bald, Samoan or similar ethnicity, and 20 years my senior - tapped me on the shoulder. I got up, felt zoned-in, and took out my earbuds. He asked if I was going to be doing any more sets, because he wanted to do pull-ups. I said I wasn't done, but he could alternate sets with me. He immediately said, "You go ahead, I'll do something else." I shrugged, he walked away.
Later, I was doing seated dumbbell lateral raises, and he approached me again. He says, "Hey, man, I just wanted to apologize for earlier. I shouldn't have asked to do that, when I could have just gone and done something else. I am SO sorry!"
I said it was fine, that it wasn't like he stepped on my hand and got in my way at all...but it was pretty crazy how apologetic he was for (what I thought was) nothing.
About to head to a nice Italian restaurant for dinner with my family. I haven't been nearly as emotional today, so I hope it's a good time, and feel like part of the group.
