Then why is DMSI not achieving its goals. How was the beast even made in the first place if we can't get DMSI to work.
Is it advanced alien technology that Shannon is reverse engineering?
DMSI is not achieving its goals because things have to be developed and implemented in the right order, and that is a slow process with everything else besides working on DMSI that I must do to achieve that.
Beast is where I develop and test new stuff. Then when it is proven to work and be safe, I mark it as ready for release. But with literally hundreds of technology modules, this is not a simple thing to do, especially since they may or may not interoperate. So I am waiting until Beast achieves design spec, and then I will mine the tech and put it in the skeleton script. It is a very complex, very challenging job, and I'm not going to do it in chunks at a time. I'm going to do it all at once, after I know that what I am doing will be worth the effort. Going from whatever comes before it to "finished mining the tech from Beast and translating it to working within the skeleton script" is going to be a months long process. Doing it piecemeal won't work because there are too many technology modules of too much complexity for me to keep track of if I try.
So when Beast is finished, we will start mining and translating the technology. Until then, we will have this store of technology that is in development or has been developed, waiting to be released.
It's not alien technology, but it's very complex. I am not looking forward to porting it.
