Stage 1 -Day 9
I had a really good holiday weekend. Two days of the weekend were sunny and beautiful. I was moderately productive and got to spend some quality time with my family.
One thing that occurred to me this weekend is that my disposition lately has been overwhelmingly positive. I've noticed this multiple times now, but it really hit me when I was out for a walk this weekend. I found myself lost in how beautiful the day was. I was admiring not only the beautiful sunny weather but even the way the trees cast shadows in the ground. It's like everything in that moment was good and I breathed in every minute of it.
I've recently begun to visit a chiropractor to help me with some lower back issues I've dealt with over the past few years. It's helping tremendously. As a result of the visits, I've invested in a roman chair so I can do some posterior chain work to help offset the fact that I'm sitting all day. Then, while lying in bed, I decided to check out some old weight lifting materials I had saved over the years. That led me to purchasing a book on lifting from the 90s that I'm excited to be reading. Also, I've modified my diet a bit to be more sustainable and more suitable to muscle retention.
I say all the above to point out that something is shifting internally toward the positive and I'm very happy about it. I know the various stages are supposed to take the user off balance, but I'm not experiencing that at all. I feel better than I have in a very long time.
